With 70% of Pinterest users now pinning to their wedding boards you can help future brides be inspired by your very own wedding.

As far as Pinterest is concerned, DETAILS are the most important part of your wedding day and there are some things you should not DIY.

1.Hire a professional calligrapher for those chalkboard signs (www.lovelettering.ca) and graphic designers for invitations.

2. Invest in a florist and cake designer. Expect to pay up to $1000 plus.

3. Hire a professional decorator or stylist to help add to those details and to ensure they are displayed beautifully.

4. Consider unique venues, details, and colour inspiration not often seen, used or found. When a bride tells me she has a colour combination for their wedding they cannot find inspiration even on Pinterest that is a good sign you are stepping outside the box and on your way in creating a unique wedding.

5. Of course the most important thing to help make sure your wedding is “Pinterest Famous” is to hire a professional wedding photographer who has been featured in wedding magazines and blogs. With all of the details you have now invested in please remember to give time in your wedding day schedule to your professional photographer to capture those details. This means they are not taking pictures of family, guest or the funny moments that maybe happening on your day for about an hour or two. Some photographers work in teams which means you can have the two photographers split up at certain times of the day to capture family moments and details.

Here are some wedding vendors you should check to help you with your details. :)

Tuesday Wedding Tip – What to expect on the morning of your wedding day /?p=3745 /?p=3745#comments Tue, 14 Jul 2015 04:37:00 +0000 /?p=3745 You wake up and you have ten million things running through your mind for what needs to done for your wedding day. Here are a few tips to help you prepare for your getting ready photography. Preparation photos are often my favourite time of a wedding day. An ideal space to get ready would be a spacious, light and tidy area. While most people assume it only takes about a half hour to do their prep shots, I would recommend at least an hour and half or two hours if you have a larger family. To get the most out of your photography you can get many formal shots done ahead of time. This will allow more flexibility in your schedule and you can enjoy your wedding without rushing through family formals to get to the reception on time. So make sure to share these top 6 tips with those soon to be brides and grooms. What other good tips are there for getting ready in the morning? Please feel free to share your tips below in the comments!

1. Have your bouquets/boutonnieres ready and delivered to where you are getting ready. This will allow detail photos of the flowers before they wilt or get damaged.

2. Hang your dress on a nice hanger! There is nothing more distracting than a beautiful gown hanging on a plastic hanger.

3. If your bridesmaids will be helping you put on your dress, have them be fully ready and dressed when they do this or in matching cute robes. It will look much better in photos.

4. Keep your getting ready space free of clutter and mess! If you are in a small space like a hotel take the party outside the room into the lobby or outdoors if it is a nice day. Outdoor photos are perfect for getting into the dress if you do not have a large bright area to dress in.

5. Think about the accessories you want photographed and keep them all together so your photographer knows exactly what you want photos of and where they will be located (this counts for the guys too!)

6. Remember to provide a few sets of your beautiful stationary including the menu

Professional Head Shots – Bloomin Crazy /?p=3813 /?p=3813#comments Sat, 11 Jul 2015 06:06:09 +0000 /?p=3813 You maybe noticing some beautiful/elegant flowers around my blog posts and it is all thanks to this lovely lady Carol-Anne from Bloomin Crazy. I had the pleasure of taking Carol-Anne’s professional head shots for her business portfolio and website while we were working together on our Sagewood Farm Styled Photo Shoots. Trying to stay away from traditional portraits I had asked Carol-Anne to bring extra flowers so she could work her magic and create a beautiful small centrepiece and bouquet.
