Today is International Women’s Day and what better day to post about the mini-boudoir session for women who wanted to give a little gift to their husband or boyfriend for valentines day. Lately, there has been many campaigns about women feeling beautiful and songs advocating that you should love yourself no matter what shape or size. Cindy Crawford spoke to Marie Claire magazine not too long ago after her most recent non-Photoshop cover and said that to look beautiful, you need to be comfortable in your own skin no matter what age you are. The greatest gift a woman can give herself is to love their self the same way they love their friends. Self-confidence makes you attractive and people can see that. I really love capturing these sessions because I can see women taking time for themselves from a busy hectic life; taking a deep breath and seeing something in themselves they may have not seen before. Women often have so much love for their family and friends they forget to take time to love themselves. So remember that you are allowed to take a couple hours a day to re-energize and do something for you to make you feel beautiful inside and out.

Mini Boudoir Session

Just before valentines day I had fun taking photos with this group of gals. This was the first time I offered a mini-session and everything came together nicely. Hair by Katie Lynne Hair and room styling and make-up by Catarina De Bastos-Stogios. If you are getting married and you do not know what to do for your bachorlette party…Hosting a boudoir mini-session is a great idea because you can relax during the day with your girlfriends and have some fun cocktails while being pampered by professionals. Since you have your hair and make-up done it sets you up to go out for a fun night on the town. Plus you have beautiful images to give to your husband-to-be as a gift on your wedding day. ;)
