Laura and Paul will be celebrating 7 years of marriage in July. They first met when Laura was 14 and Paul was 19 at the time through a mutual friend, but did not consider the possibility of a relationship with Paul. So off to University Laura went until around the time Laura was 19 she was visiting from British Columbia on a school break at the Royal York Hotel with a group of friends, when a “chance encounter” in the lobby she was standing in front of Paul. Quiet, but confident and just as cute as she remembered when she was 14 years old. Conversation flowed so easily and before she knew it they had exchanged email addresses and was back at school in BC dreaming once again of that cute boy! 6 years they made a long distance relationship work, with visits back and forth whenever they could. Over the years they created a relationship based on strong communication, trust and unconditional love- values that have made the last 7 years some of the most incredible years of their lives.

When Gaitree first asked me to help her with her professional photos we chatted on the phone about key words that would best describe her business.
Light, Fun, Clean and Fresh
White background and muted colours
Minimalist and modern
These were the key words we came up with. Our next step was creating a vision board with Pinterest so we could coordinate together the little details for styled shots. It is great to have professional head shots, but also detail images can help with creating a cohesive look/brand on websites and social media. First impressions are important so it is always a good idea to refresh and update your look to market to your clientele you want to work with.
I loved working with Gaitree of Plan My Day Wedding and Events! She is an amazing certified wedding planner and is very quick to think of solutions. Especially when you forget to bring something.

As far as Pinterest is concerned, DETAILS are the most important part of your wedding day and there are some things you should not DIY.
1.Hire a professional calligrapher for those chalkboard signs (www.lovelettering.ca) and graphic designers for invitations.
2. Invest in a florist and cake designer. Expect to pay up to $1000 plus.
3. Hire a professional decorator or stylist to help add to those details and to ensure they are displayed beautifully.
4. Consider unique venues, details, and colour inspiration not often seen, used or found. When a bride tells me she has a colour combination for their wedding they cannot find inspiration even on Pinterest that is a good sign you are stepping outside the box and on your way in creating a unique wedding.
5. Of course the most important thing to help make sure your wedding is “Pinterest Famous” is to hire a professional wedding photographer who has been featured in wedding magazines and blogs. With all of the details you have now invested in please remember to give time in your wedding day schedule to your professional photographer to capture those details. This means they are not taking pictures of family, guest or the funny moments that maybe happening on your day for about an hour or two. Some photographers work in teams which means you can have the two photographers split up at certain times of the day to capture family moments and details.
Here are some wedding vendors you should check to help you with your details. :)
